Robins Routines 

• Reading Books - New Little Wandle reading books will go home after the third reading session of the week on a Thursday.
• Phonics Reading Books - Children will choose a new phonics reading book (not Little Wandle) every Thursday. 
• Library - Robins library day is Thursday. Every Thursday, we visit the library as a class to choose a new library book to borrow and to listen to a few stories too. Please ensure that your child's library book is in their book bag on a Thursday so that they are able to swap it for a new library book. 
• Year 1 homework sent home on a Friday and collected in on a Wednesday. Year 1's spellings sent home on Friday, spelling test on Wednesday. 
• Year R phonics practise (linking to phonics learning from the week) sent home on a Friday. This is not compulsory homework and is meant to keep you up to date with phonics learning in class and to allow you to practise at home.
• PE days - Tuesday (inside) and Friday (outside).
• Class music lesson - Friday afternoon.
• Our class outdoor learning session is on a Monday afternoon.

Autumn 1 Home Learning Task

To support our learning about maps and where we live this half term, we would like to encourage children to work with parents to create a simple map of where they live. This could be done in any way that you like. It could involve drawing and colouring, the use of photographs, building your house or area out of Lego or cardboard. Could any completed maps please be brought into school during the last week of this term (beginning Monday 19th October). We will share these with the class and with parents during the parent share on Thursday 22nd October and then maps will be sent home again.
