Summer Concert

Well done to our musicians and singers for their performances at this year's Summer Concert. For a small school we have a huge number of children involved in music. Of the 79 children in KS2, well over half took part in the concert, performing on violin, cello, flute, clarinet, recorders, classic and electric guitars, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, French horn and the whole orchestra. The children had individual performances as well as group and in the orchestra. We also had a performance from the school choir, which was then shared with the wider school in assembly the following day. Well done to all the children who performed for their hard work and commitment. Thank you also to the dedicated instrumental teachers who visit the schoo - Mrs Henderson (cello teacher), Mrs Gooding (brass teacher), Mrs Wilson (violin teacher) and Mr Gruzelier (guitar teacher). Huge thank you to Ms Elmslie who not only teaches woodwind, but also manages the school orchestra and choir and teaches the whole school the joy of making music.
