School Council attends School Council event at Test Valley School
This week our KS2 children were invited to take part in a School Councils' event at Test Valley School. The children met with other councillors from schools in the cluster to share their experiences. In the first session they were all asked to draw a logo that would represent the School Council and some of them went further creating a slogan. After a short break, they had a presentation from Mrs Bottle from Broughton school on Rights Respecting Schools (RRS). The children worked in groups to think about their needs and wants and in the end they were introduced to a summary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Towards the end and as part of the transition into secondary school, they took part in a question and answers session about life at the school during their first year and also went on a tour of the school were they were very impressed with the pool!
