Day 3 - A day for speed; fast cars, fast birds and timed orienteering.
First the Motor Museum, which is within walking range. There was a conducted tour, punctuated by sharp intakes of breath at each new sports model. The Bugatti Veyron and the Jaguar E-type were perhaps the biggest draws, but then again there was also the Top Gear tent. This held many of the vehicles that had been spent by Clarkson et al.
Next was orienteering around the forest at running pace and finally an evening of falconry. The children saw a number of birds (inc. an Eagle Owl and Peregrine Falcon) and genuinely listened for an astonishing 90 mins. Needless to say, there was no petting of the birds.
You will also be pleased to hear that both speakers and host staff have remarked how pleasant the children are.
