At Wherwell Primary School we want to inspire a lifelong love of learning and to nurture respect and care for themselves and others.
We want to enable every child to learn and develop as individuals in a happy and secure environment.
The National Curriculum is the foundation of the school's Strategic Development Plan, building on this we want all our pupils to enjoy a broad and creative curriculum that inspires them now and in their future learning at secondary school and beyond.
This is "their school" first and foremost, a place to experience and learn about music, languages, sports, outdoors, nature, plus cultures and religions from around the world.
Peer mentoring is an important part of the "Wherwell Way", empowering them with important life skills such as self-belief and respect and care for themselves, other people, the environment and living creatures.
In preparing children for the future we believe our pupils must above all enjoy their time at Wherwell, growing into well educated, caring and confident individuals who recognise that each opportunity brings with it a moral responsibility.
