Well done to all the children in class 2. They shared with their peers and their parents all their work so far this term. Their main topic has been about Australia, and they sang songs about australian animals and showed their australian aboriginal art. They also shared their stories and lovely pictures about their visit to Middleton State Farm.
Class 2 enjoyed a fun yet damp trip to Middleton Estate in Longparish. There they were warmly welcomed by the estate staff who demonstrated various aspects of the working farm. These included a demonstration of fishing on the River Test, seed planting and pond dipping. Thank you to the estate staff: Mrs Wills and John who showed the children the gardens; Chris , who manages the deer; Chris, Estate Manager , who showed the children the arable farming; Andy and Jeff, river managers; Steven, Steve and Jack; the gamekeepers and John who looks after the woodland. The trip couldn't have taken place without the parent helpers. Therefore a big thank you to Mrs Young, Mrs Hanley, Mrs McMenemy and Mrs Bircham. for safely transporting the children and helping during the day.
