Autumn Term

Christmas Wreaths

Thank you to Ella and Susan Simmonds and Julliet Macaskill who came in to work with class 5 making Christmas Wreaths . They began with a trip to the pond area to cut willow and red dogwood to weave the wreaths from. We are so lucky , not only to have such wonderful grounds to provide the raw materials , but also that we have such dedicated and committed band of helpers who give up their time to work with the children on all sorts of projects throughout the year.

Bikeability Fix

Class 5 had a busy Friday working with the Bikeability team on bike maintenance and repair. The children brought their own bikes into school and they learnt the fundamentals of keeping their bicycles running smoothly and safely including how to check brakes, pedals, tyres and saddle height and puncture repair. At the end of the session all the children received a puncture repair kit.

Mask Making on our faces

This rather macabre picture illustrates the technique being used by Class 5 to create masks

modelled on their own faces rather than using balloons. The impressive finished products can be viewed on the Class 5 stairs.
